Addressing Childhood Food Insecurity in Our Community
Food insecurity affects families across our region. Nationally, one in five children experiences hunger.
To address this urgent need, Warrior House of WNY expanded its mission in 2018 to support both veterans and vulnerable families in our community. In partnership with Oakfield-Alabama Elementary School, we established a School Food Pantry, which has grown into a permanent facility. The pantry now serves over 85 families, offering consistent access to food and essential support for students, their families, and veteran households experiencing food insecurity.
We encourage community members and partners to help us fight hunger locally. You can support Warrior House of WNY by volunteering at our pantry, donating nonperishable food or funds, or raising awareness of our mission. To volunteer or donate, please contact us by phone or email, or visit our facility during open hours. Together, we can ensure children and families have reliable access to nutritious food and help build a stronger, healthier community.
Warrior House of WNY Inc. is classified as a 501(c) (3) non-profit by the standards of the Internal Revenue Service (IRS). Therefore, the donation may be tax deductible to the extent allowed by law.
