DID YOU KNOW?
1 IN 7 CHILDREN FACE HUNGER
That means in an average school class size of 25 there are potentially 4 children that are facing food insecurity in their homes.
Expanding Our Mission to Nourish and Connect Our Community:
In 2018, Warrior House of WNY expanded its mission beyond serving veterans to address a growing need in our local community—food insecurity. Partnering with Oakfield-Alabama Elementary School, we launched a School Food Pantry to support students and their families.
As the impact of COVID-19 grew, so did the need. In response, we relocated and transformed the School Food Pantry into a full-scale Community Food Pantry. In June 2020, we acquired a 6,000 sq. ft. building that had been vacant for over 15 years, and began to dream bigger.
On Veterans Day 2020, we officially opened the doors of our Community Food Pantry to all residents in need. The response was overwhelming—we more than doubled the number of families we had previously been serving.
Today, the building houses a 2,200 sq. ft. community room, a 2,000 sq. ft. food pantry, a community meeting space, a kitchen, and a mental health office. This space has become a vital resource for our neighbors—supporting physical, emotional, and social well-being.
We believe in the power of community and are committed to building a space that nourishes both body and spirit. If you'd like to learn more, get involved, or support this mission, we welcome you to reach out.

Today we are helping more than 85 families with their food insecurity needs.
Your donations are the backbone to our ability to continue to assist these families.
