DID YOU KNOW?
1 IN 7 CHILDREN FACE HUNGER

That means in an average school class size of 25 there are potentially 4 children that are facing food insecurity in their homes.
In 2018, Warrior House of WNY expanded its mission beyond serving veterans to address a growing need in our local community—food insecurity. Partnering with Oakfield-Alabama Elementary School, we launched a School Food Pantry to support students and their families.

As COVID-19's impact grew, so did our mission. We transformed the School Food Pantry into a Community Food Pantry, acquiring a 6,000 sq. ft. building in June 2020 that had been vacant for over 15 years. On Veterans Day 2020, we opened our doors to all residents in, doubling our service to families. Today, our space includes a community room, food pantry, meeting area, kitchen, and mental health office, supporting the well-being our neighbors. We believe in community power and invite you to learn more or get involved.
Today we are helping more than 85 families with their food insecurity needs. Your donations are the backbone to our ability to continue to assist these families.
